Roosa Master pump. Case 1000D

Thanks for any help in advance.

I have a Case 1000D with the Continental JD382 engine.
Roosa Pump DG VCL 437 7C

Engine just up and quit running. I'm assuming the governor disintegrated and has clogged up the ball check/return line. I will own a manual in the short future. But for the time being, if someone could give me a few tips on what to tear down to clean this, if that's my problem. I have no problem sending the pump off if needed. I've included photos, if they work, fuel system has no leaks and is a very clean unit. You'll notice I have the lines off of the T coming off of the return side of the pump. I got that far and thought I'd check on here first before going any further.

It is a good indication that the governor ring has broken up if you remove the return line and fitting from the the pump cover and find it blocked,if its not blocked hold up for a moment,if the fuel level is high in the tank the fuel should flow from the pump there,if it does not there is a restriction between there and the tank,it may be the filters are blocked, you need to make sure the filters are clean and the fuel is getting to the pump before removing it,if you have to remove it time it before doing so.

Take the two screw timing cover off and see if the pump is turning when engine is cranked, if not then drive shaft is broken due to a head seizure. Some very early pumps don't have the flex ring inside to fail. If it does have the ring and return side gets plugged you can confirm by seeing if engine will run with the timing cover loose allowing fuel to leak. I repaired a 382 and 277 pump last summer on Continental engines. If head is seized rotor should be pressed out to find the cause BEFORE just putting on another pump, or it could seize also.
