Thanks

Don"t think you will really need plans. You should be able to build something good just from looking at some pictures.

I guess I was just wanting to figure out how its attached to the tractor. I would think big u bolts but is that enought to hold it. Roll over speaking.

Take a ride over to your local tractor dealer and bring a camera. I can't remember all I want so the camera comes in handy.
Some use 4 bolts with a bottom plate some don't. Whatever is used nothing is guaranteed in a roll over. Every accident is different.

I have a square-axle 165 with ROPs. The ROPs are original MF. You should try locating used ROPs. Try Nolt's Equipment in PA 717-776-6242 they may be able to find you something. It may be harder to locate ROPs for round axle models though.

Depending on where you live, some of the states will help you purchase and install a ROPS. NYS is working through NYCAM to reimburse 70% of the cost up to $600 to purchase and install a rops. I only recommend that a ROPS be purchased from a ROPS Manufacturer. It will come with a Seat Belt, which must be used, and will be designed to fit the tractor. The system works best when it's designed for the task.

Where are you?

Local MF dealer has brand new after market ROPS for 165 on the back lot, I think they were made buy Laurin, still strapped on the shipping pallet.
