A question for the 9N brain trust,
If you have securely mounted a decent, padded (Hyster fork lift)seat with arm rests and seatbelt on the stock 9N "U" spring bar, is an approved ROPS (hoop or welded) effective and worth the $$$? This is a tractor and bush hog combo, working on a sloped lot, with a driver who"d like to enjoy the "second half "of life for a long time. Dell previously mentioned a ROPS, w/o a decent seat and belt, is ineffective at best. Your input is appreciated.

if the seat is good and has belts that will hold you, and the spring is good, and the studs holding spring to top cover are good.. then you are good to go with a rops..

All of the info that I have seen says - Don't use a seatbelt without a ROPS.
If using a ROPS - I would like to have a seatbelt but I feel you are protected somewhat better with just the ROPS

no seatbelt, no rops.. no rops, no seatbelt.

not great if the trasctor is on it's side, and your arm is pinned to the ground by the rops because you weren't held in your seat.

they are a paired safety item..

It's the other way around. If you have ROPS use a belt that way you stay in the middle of the frame if it rolls. If no seat belt what's the point of ROPs It'll be another item to get you.
