Rotary Cutter identification

Need help identifying this bush hog and gear box. Believe it might be a Woods brand. Have a leaking seal.

Pull the seal out and take it to the auto parts store. Whatever brand it is, they buy those gear boxes in lots wherever they can buy them the cheapest. Without a tag and serial number, even if you knew the brand and went to a dealer that still sold them, they'd want the old seal so they can match it.

Deck and gear box mounting does look Woods, during Cadet era, pre Dixie. May scrape and find mustard yellow paint under red lead.

If you can't get the seal out without destroying it, Check first for a # on it. If not, you may have to mic shaft and housing holding seal and then go to Napa or another seal, bearing shop near you with those measurements!

Try your local woods dealer. At least you can find a Dixie manual, they don,t change mutch. Your 3 point has less parts then the tow behind. The gear boxes, seals, were wildly employed, pulling the blade bar, et cetera about constant. Tough cutter!
