rotella

I see a lot of owners of older Case tractors use Shell Rotella. Around here all they have is rotella rated for diesel. Is that what you use?

I use rotella on all my diesels, I?ve never had a problem with it and use it religiously along with a maintenance cycle. The zinc in the oil is great for older engines that have been worked hard. I know a lot of guys say they don?t like it, however I?ve never had a problem. I once tried switching to mobile oil in my ford powerstroke and noticed it started burning oil. That right there told me that rotella was a much better oil and have stocked up on it and used it in everything since.

understand. It seems like some are using rotella in gas tractors and i am wondering if they are using the diesel rated oil as it is the only stuff sold at the stores around here.

For what it is worth, some say "not much", but I use the best diesel non synthetic 15W40 oil in everything, from my oldest CASE gas tractors, gas farm trucks, to the newest CASE diesels. 100 hours or less on changes. Late model car & pick up is a different story.

So you live In the great state of misery so where at?? I'm here at the Lake of the Ozarks. I have a couple VAC parts tractors laying around by the way and one complete VAC and one VAI I would sell.

By the Kansas city airport. My Vac is complete and runs great. I don't need another one, though a vac 14 might tempt me. What I could use is a grill from a 51 or newer that has no dents....if there is such a thing.

I used rotella in everything untell one day I looked in the bottom of an empty jug. Do that and it will make you wonder
