I doubt I will travel that far for it. Would want to plan on reserving rooms a year in advance if you didn't want to drive a few hours back and forth from it at night. Sort of like the Truck show in Louisville KY

i have found if you get 30 miles away the prices and availability go down and up. Last Year we saved a hundred a night by staying 28 miles away from the show.(and we did not get flooded in either) We have a new to us camper now.

i have found if you get 30 miles away the prices and availability go down and up. Last Year we saved a hundred a night by staying 28 miles away from the show.(and we did not get flooded in either) We have a new to us camper now.

I made reservations in Sedalia last January for RPRU. When we arrived on the Wednesday before the show, I was told that I not only had no reservations, but the motel wouldn't honor the reserved price. And had no rooms at all for the Thursday. Take it or leave it. Closed the conversation window we were talking thru and walked away.
We tried other motels listed in a Sedalia travel brochure, called the Sunset Motel, they had a couple cancellations, we got 2 adjacent rooms for the duration for LESS THAN MY JANUARY RESERVATIONS. Sunset Motel is in Sedalia, right down the street from the fairgrounds. Basic clean rooms, no breakfast, but Huddle House is down the street. Highly recommend the Sunset.
