Running rough after hibernation

1962 Oliver 770 diesel tractor loader backhoe. I bought this monster late last summer. It sat all winter. I did start it in December. Tried again in January. It cranked but wouldn't start. Snow was too deep to get to it in February and March slipped away. Got it started today with new fuel filters. It idles fairly smooth without much smoke. When I give it some throttle it revs up some but not as much as it should, runs rough and smokes a lot. The smoke is brownish gray.

Any thoughts?

When you serviced the oil bath breather is it possible you pushed the breather tube down any. I had this happen to me on my 880. I took the hood off just to clean and wash motor when i put it back on, tractor was hard to start and would not speed up. Come to find out the robber grommet on the hood was just tight enough to grab the breather tube and slid it down just enough into oil. Just some thing to check.

I went through the complete procedure for bleeding the injectors. That made a big difference. It ran smoother and cleaner. The Waukesha must be more sensitive to having the injectors bled than my Perkins is. It ran most of the afternoon. I shut it off for about 20 minutes and now it won't crank. All it does is click the solenoid. That will be tomorrow's project.
