got under there and blasted loos material with an air gun....looking for somthing to spray on and seal itHave you completed any preparation with a needle scaler or the like to remove flaked rust first?
If you don't put more effort into prep you will be doing a lot more harm than good because you will be trapping moisture. For what you wan to do your best bet would be drain oilgot under there and blasted loos material with an air gun....looking for somthing to spray on and seal it

Google is your friend.cosmoline, dont you heat that up, who has it
what i'm looking at is spraying a rust neutralizer on the truch chasisFluid film (expensive, smells nice), or bar and chain oil (cheap, quick and easy). Both are stickier than old engine oil and will last longer.
Honestly, once things develop a nice candy coat of rust, in my experience it doesn't get any worse if the equipment is kept high and dry, not left axle deep in a swamp or deep weeds, or dragged down salt roads in the winter. Trying to "prevent" rust by doing anything but stripping to bare metal and painting with actual paint is wasted effort.
I've had good luck with fluid film. 2005 Ranger (CA truck), been in MI since 2016 (60,000 miles)Whats the best spray on type rust preventer to use on a truck chassis under-carriage or farm wagons or farm equipment
