As thin as that looks I'd be afraid that even if the leaks were stopped that the whole bottom of the tank would collapse under the weight of the fuel.

That picture is right above the seam halfway up the tank, i can get my dad too solder it maybe but I dont want any more leaks in 6 months, another question will a 630 gas tank fit a 620

es it can be soldered up, BUT, DO NOT, USE ANYTHING WITH A FLAME, GAS TANKS HAVE A BAD HABIT OF EXPLODING AROUND AN OPEN FLAME. Instead use an old time copper soldering iron. Now their is no guarantee it won't leak in a different spot later..
As whether a 630 tank would fit is highly unlikely, a better choice would be from a JD 60, they used different tanks according to serial numbers. The attached link to the JD Parts Online may be of help in determining which tank may fit, you can look up the 60,620 and 630 to see if any fit your needs :

(quoted from post at 16:22:03 04/09/22) Also is there a way to fix my sending unit, I believe it has a hole in the float as the fuel level will slowly go down

I fixed one with a couple of champagne bottle plugs.

My point is that the brass Ford floats are readily available, CHEAP and a good replacement for MANY other applications. $5.00 and up on-line.

Ok thanks

Agreed, but a cork float is free!

I had a JD 60 tractor that I resurrected about 4 years ago that must have had 30 rusted out holes in the fuel
tank, some of the holes were big as a pencil eraser, I took epoxy and plugged all the holes then sealed the
tank internally with Red-Kote sealer. Was good as new when I finished it, dont have the tractor now but it
can be done if you will plug the holes before using the tank liner.
