s69 NH baler?

ANY one have any advice or opinions on a NH S69 baler i found one for 550$ has lots of new parts and good paint the guy said had issues with the notter on the left side last year on the third cut. but other than that in great shape i dont know much about this modle any one got any advice?

Pretty good old balers. They were built in the late 50's to early 60's.30 hp will run it.I would only use sisal twine on account of the old knives and bills won't handle nylon very well.Good Luck.

Price sounds OK for an old baler. Probably not much wrong with it. Buy a manual, do some reading and you"ll probably get it tying fine with a few hours work and mabey a couple hundred in parts...
They"ll work fine on poly twine too. It"s just a matter of setting it up correctly. Knotters today are basically the same unit as ~that~ one.

thanks for all the advice i went and looked at it and it had great paint and new hey forks but it was in ok shape but just had to many things that needed 100$ here or 200$ there. i guess it was usable but he also explained that last year half way through his last cut it would miss every third tie he said he had to keep stoping and cleaning out the chamber then it would do a few more and he had to stop and clean it out. any way just got a bad vibe so im gonna pass on this one.
