Another well restored old Ford workhorse. Bit on the rare side as most used over here in Europe were fitted with Four Wheel Drive.

On all the TW and 30 series tractors that was standard having the weights under the front. Very secure and easy to put on and off. A factory front weight bracket is kind of rare.

My cousin had two TW-30s on his farm in northern VT. They were both two wheel drive and both came with those 100# "chin weights", under the front. That is the way that chassis was designed. That bracket on the front doesn't look original to me. The later 30 and 40 series Fords shared the same cast steel weight bracket that held the newer style weights. TW originally stood for Two Wheel Drive compared to the FW series built by Steiger.
