I used to service the combine for the farmer who owned this and I asked him many times to sell me it and the Oliver plough that went with it to no avail. One year I went to the farm and they were both gone, the plough had gone for scrap and the tractor had been given to a local garage owner who was going to restore it one day. I moved on and never saw the tractor again for 40 years when it appeared on the local old tractor show circuit, still in the same condition as I saw it all those years ago. Yes it is a runner and goes well.

Bull Tractor, Little Bull. Minneapolis Mn. Prelude to the Toro Company we know today. Notice the Gile engine that was commonly used in the Midwest designs. Also used in the Happy Farmer and the ill-fated three wheel Ford that caused Henry to label his tractor Fordson.

Hi Majorman I went to the first tractor rally the NVTETC East Anglia group had and there was a Whiting Bull tractor on a trailer on show so this could be the same tractor. It reappeared at Stradsett Rally 3 or 4 years ago when the celebrated 40 years of the group. At that early rally I first met Fred Rudd and I allways talk about it when Fred brings his tractor round the ring at Stradsett rally when I am doing the ring commentry. MJ.

That is the only one I know in the area and was why I was so keen to get it back then MJ. He has rigged a starter on it now, the last time I saw it. The picture was taken at the Marsham Show a few years ago when I think I last met you.

Its frustrating when something like this occurs.

I know where an example of an old tractor that is of a make and model of one I'd like to have. It's just sitting in an old cattle shed, nothing ever being done with it, and hasn't budged a wheel in years.
The guy kind of semi-knows what he's got. And that it's a little on the rare side. But he won't sell it. Even if he did have a mind to, he thinks it's worth way more than it actually is. And he's one of those guys that you just can't deal with.
I'm not sure what will ever become of it. But I'm fairly certain that I won't ever have a chance at it, when the time comes that it is liquidated. It'll just be one of those deals, where it'll just be gone before you even know anything about them (his family) doing something with it (selling it).
Oh well. I guess it's atleast under a roof. So it's not just sitting there getting worse and worse for whoever it is that ever ends up with it. Some people will let this kind of thing happen to stuff that's sitting outside.

Anyways, this particular tractor I'm talking about isn't so rare that you can't find another one someplace else. I seen an example of it sold on big iron. I didn't place a bid on it, because it was further away than I cared to go get it. It sold for the kind of dollars I'm thinking one of them is worth as well. So, ... maybe I'll end up with one of those someday eventually. Just not the one that I know where its at.
