I saw those on display at the Indiana State Fair in 1952. Have never seen any in the real world.

I used to know a guy that lived out here in the hills. He took an old horse drawn road grader and put an engine on it. I remember that he actually had two transmissions on the thing. One for going forward and the other for going in reverse. I forget what the engine was now. I haven't seen him or that thing in 25 years.

This genius actually had a powder license and used to do some rock blasting in the area. He had an old beat up (Comet, I think it was) and I remember seeing it with big paper "EXPLOSIVES "A" signs taped to the sides of it. That thing didn't look like it would make it down the road let alone haul a load of dynamite. :mrgreen:

His property is not far from mine. If I get time sometime maybe I'll take a ride over there and see if he still has that grader in his bone yard. I'd like to get some pictures of it. I remember that it didn't have any hydraulics on it. It had a huge geared wheel that one used to turn to raise or lower the blade.
