SC Sleeves

I am working on a Case SC. I am replacing the O-rings for the sleeves. The replacement O-rings are round, while the originals are square. Was this a change or a mistake by my parts guy?

I don't know your particular tractor but are you sure the old ones are square? After 65 some years
of being squished they may now be square but I doubt the started out that way. Sam

I thought about that and looked closely at them. They look perfectly square to me and appear to be square originally

I did the o rings on a D and on an SC, the old o
rings were round but distorted. Dick

Sounds right mine on the SC looked that way as well I believe because the top and bottom and back side is square and it is also flattened by the sleeve. Mine looked the same kinda square looking,, but now after months out in the sun they are round again.

All C and S sleeve O rings are round when new. I have replace a good number of both.
