I thought I would inform others on here how I stupidly got took for $500.00. I had posted a wanted ad in the classified area on this site for a Farmall MD head. It was several days and on 11 Oct. I received a reply from a DannyDee2, a new user which is as follows "You can check on @mdallisD17 I haven't seen him on here for couple of days. You can reach him via [email protected], he has a few of them, plus he's a dealer...straight up Great Guy!!"

I replied with a thank you back and he replied back "You're welcome! Reliable seller." I went on this site to see some of this "mdallisD17" and there were a few. Now I cannot locate those posts anywhere. Anyway, I reached out to dokky90, and he replied back that he had some and after some conversation we aggreged on the going price of $1,000.00 shipped. He stated he accepts Zelle, Apple pay or a bank wire transfer. I went to the bank and asked to do the wire transfer, and they did their due diligence on how to beware of scammers which I was aware of, but this guy was a smooth talker. When I did not send it right away, he started sending emails stating that UPS was there to pick it up and was confused as to why I did not send the money & if I was still interested. In hindsight, this should have been a red flag which I missed. I stated to him the banks concern and he was all soft & mushy agreeable with it. I asked if I could pay 1/2 up front and the rest after delivery and he readily agreed. So, I sent him $500.00 and said to send me the tracking number which he said, "Thanks I'll let you know". The next day I still had not got the tracking number and asked for it again and he said, "I will check on it". After the second day with nothing I knew I got took. I believe that this dannydee2 & dokky90 are one and the same.

This guy seemed like a decent guy to deal with. It is really sneaky to go on a site like this and prey on people and not leave a trace. I guess I am/was too trusting. It is sad that we at this point that we cannot trust anybody. So to others, BEWARE.

Hearing, "pay with bank transfer" from a business would have sent me packing. Same as with hearing send the money through "PayPal Friends and Family".. Both simply means you volunteered to give your money way.

Gmail being a legit email. You may have a little luck taking your case to the authorities. The IP to the email could be traced to the address of the "owner" and legal action taken from there.

As I have posted in the Past. If you are looking to buy and need to have some it shipped. Get a Phone number and Check it on the Internet to see if it is from where he said he is, Ask Questions, And Get Pictures that someone can't get off the internet to make sure that they Do have it to sell to you.

I would suggest you use the “Contact us” button in the red below and report this. If I was a moderator seeing this member is shown with two messages I would disable their account. Depending what I could see about his activity on YT would determine if a courtesy email would be sent explaining why.
Either Dannydee is an actual scammer or his account was hacked. Apparently the contact directing you to make a contact by email was made through a “Direct message”(private) because it doesn’t show in your add. I don’t run adds so I don’t know how that works.

Theres a forum righn here on YT that you can post the sellers name and info and such and let people know. Unfortunately, that forum hasnt been used much, or maybe its a good thing it hasnt. You should also reportthis to the mods here. Its foolish to waste time playing childish games to catch a scammer.

The scammers are getting better,(worse?) at playing thier games and are not nearly as easy to catch as they once we're. I've had two close calls recently but haven't been took,, yet. Last time I asked for a picture of the part with him holding it and tbe days date and my name on a paper in front of it which he did. He asked for a cash app and I said nope however he did accept PayPal. When the request came through it was in GB£ instead of $. When I asked what's with that he supplied an very believable answer but I decides to wait. He name, address and phone all checked out via search. He contacted me several times and I said Im getting warning signals and he said he understood and offered to send the part for a small down payment and I agreed. When I tried to send the money to his request PayPal's warning system stepped in and said do NOT send money to this person, it's a scam. So PayPal saved me that time. Best advise I can give is go with your gut not the enthusiasm to gain a bargain.

Basically nothing except, I think DannyDee2 who seems to have joined YT for the purpose of scamming randomly choose your username to give himself some credibility here. As you can see he says you’re a “straight up, great guy” but I assume the dokky90…gmail is his and not yours. He provided that email to member lbg57 to hook him with his scam. I would use the “Contact Us” below in red to request the moderators to look at your account to see if anything looks suspicious to them on their internal side and see if they have any recommendations to make changes if needed.
