school project help

My son is putting together a display dealing with JD engine parts, comparing the relative sizes and displacements of older Deere tractors, (helping to explain horsepowers relation to displacement) He needs a single piston from various size Deere, preferably with rings intact. Ideally, we'd come up w/ pistons from the letter series tractors which would adequately represent the various sizes. The pistons can be completely shot, rusted and pitted, egg shaped, wallowed out ring grooves, etc, bet he'd prefer they weren't broken.
He would also like to come up with corresponding intake/exhaust valves to display, and they can be knife edged, burned, or even chipped.
I've posted in the want ads and but thought I might have some luck here. I'll happily pay postage and a reasonable amount for an otherwise junk piston or valves to help him out on this project and am soliciting your help. thanks.

I've contacted a few area dealers, but anything like I'm looking for has gone to scrap.. they rarely have those model tractor parts in the first place since they're so old.

If you were closer I would fix you up,,I have a huge pile of failed parts out back,,as soon as spring gets here I'm sending them all into the salvage yard..

I might be able to help you out some. i know that i would have piston ad rod from a JD M. I will look for others. how soon do you need them

Well, I may not live too close, but I'll be happy to pay postage and some for the pistons if they aren't too dear. (no pun intended:)
