Schwartz wide front vs. factory height.

I am getting sick of my after market Schwartz wide front end. It's ugly and I am sure they make the front end sit higher than a factory IH wide front which I really don't like. I just measured mine with Titan 6.5 - 16 tires @ 35 psi. It's 34 7/8" to the grease zerk in the front of the bolster. Any guys have a measurement from a factory wide front for height?

I have an 'oldstyle';a Swarts,a Norden ;A 400/450 style and 'new style'. The Swarts turns the sharpest of all.With 13.6x38 or 14.4x38,tjevtractor sets level. They all seem to sit level..I can measure tommorrow. But I think you are makeing a mountain out an anthill.They are on an M;SM'SMTA;350;450.....On the SuperH with 11.2x38 and 6.00x16,thefront didsit a bit high. But not excessive.Measure from the ground to the bottom of the frame rail.

Didn't notice tractor but with IH wide front like installed on a SMTA, 400 and 450 and available for others I measured 34.5 from cement floor to center of grease fitting with 600-16 firestone tires. Narrow front with same brand and size measured close to a inch less. Don't remember measurements but a 560 type IH wide front will lower the front some. They had shorter knees and spindles than fronts mentioned above. One drawback is the rear saddle needs modified or the saddle from the above fronts used.

Did someone put a wide front from an M on this tractor presumably a 460 or 560. They are 2-3 inches taller because of the way they mount from the flat bottom to the stepped bolster. .

I went and measured 6 tractors today. One of each of the afore mentioned fronts, All measured 31 to 32 inches. Ground to frame rail. Less than one inch variation. All tractors have 600x16 or 6.50 x16.So,not to be an ahole,what's the deal? not enough variation to matter.Maybe the rear tires are small?

Measured this on cement floor. Top of frame rail at back 36 inches, front just to rear of front mount bolts into bolster 36.5 inches. From floor to center of rear axle 29 inches.

Mine is 35 3/4" and 36 1/2" To the axle center is 28 1/2"

Are those Titans 14.9 x 38" in the pic? They look too big for 14.9's and look like 16.9 x 38" on widened rims if I were to guess.

Mine is 35 3/4" and 36 1/2" To the axle center is 28 1/2"

Are those Titans 14.9 x 38" in the pic? They look too big for 14.9's and look like 16.9 x 38" on widened rims if I were to guess.

15.5 X 38 on 14 inch rims. They are titans and a shade taller than another brand of 14.9 I have. Really one has Armstrong on it. Both were like new but bought two different tractors with one new and one old. Switched one tractor to both old. Delta I assumed you measured to bottom just easier for me to check top.
