Ever heard of these ? We had one in my USMC welding shop. It could chop angle iron ,punch holes , bend things at a 90 . Do a google images search to see a modern one .The one I used back then was fairly old .It worked real well. Could punch through thick stock .Anybody use one ?

Used to work in a fab shop. We had a big one. 85 ton if I remember correctly. Would punch holes through 1/2 plate. Shear 4 x 4 x 1/4 angle and it never even grunted. Think it was a 5 hp 460 volt 3 phase motor.

They have been around a long time. Since the 1940s anyway. Early ones were Dvorak Ironworkers. Dvorak Family still owns the company. Built in Minnesota.
That's all I know. Never used one.

Don't remember seeing a brand name on it, but a place I worked had something like it.

Very old and worn out! Mostly just used the notcher, the rest was broke or missing components.

Not a machine to be disrespected! No turning back once it was in motion!

Have an Iron Worker in the shop. Used it last week to cut 2 angle iron on a 45* angle to make a frame.Quick and neat.

When I was welding we had one. Very handy for many things. This one was hydraulic and easy to control. Could shear and bend up to 2'. Could punch holes and shear angle as well. We used it a lot.

there are not bad machines, i tried to buy one a few times on auctions for my shop at home but have not got the job done yet. preroha iron workers seem to be one of the top on the line, if you buy a used one make sure you can get the tooling with it for the hole punch.
