Scroll saw ????

Just bought my 2nd scroll saw. Went to buy blades, and saw they had reverse tooth blades also. What is the point? You can just install them upside down if you want the cut in up direction, or am I missing something I should know. Thank for any help.

I use a lot of several different blades. The reverse tooth ones give a much better (cleaner) cut on the back side of the wood.

They have teeth going both directions. That is why they give a better cut. There are also blades that have the teeth in a spiral pattern so you can cut in and direction. Instead of having to turn the piece you can just move it the direction you want to cut.
