Looking for recommendations on a sealant to use on the threads of the diesel fuel tap where fuel feeds out of the tank to the filter.

Knowing what tractor it is might help is determine whether the threads are tapered NPT or something else. On the tapered NPT threads I have only ever used Teflon tape. Be careful to only use it on the section of the threads that will be making the seal, not on the very end of the threads that will be sticking up inside the tank, or else some small pieces of the tape may be dislodged inside the tank and eventually clog the screen on top of the shut off valve.

I thought there was a discussion on here about this before. The conclusion was that there were small rubber grommets that were placed in these fittings to seal the lines.
