Try this ebay site - Matchlessantiques. Sold a 780 pounder for just over 5 Grand. Has top drawer anvils listed most of the time.

Harbor freight anvils are good boat anchors. When you get ready to move to the next spot just cut the rope.

The price you have in mind is up to 4 dollars per pound for that size.
