Hey All:
It was nice Sunday after church and what a better way then sitting on the 8N doing a little brush hogging. Mowed the field behind the pumpkin patch then went down to mow out behind the rental I bought a few years back. I have never mowed there but it was not too tall. Under big trees etc and very low weeds not taller then the oil pan. Well in the middle of the whole show I ran over some not normal bumps. Well mashed the clutch and hit the brakes but not fast enough. ORC did what it was supposed to. Then bang. hit a bunch of fence posts that were in a clump 1/2 burried in dirt with all sorts of barbed wire attached. Looks like some one cut the posts off at the ground and just laid them side by side in the tall weeds.
No damage but what a mess. Barbed wire around the brush hog blades. I need to flip it over and see if there is damage any where.
Lesson Learned. Walk all areas you are going to brush hog before you hog.
Cheers.
Bob
