Seat Time

Well after several months of owning my 8N,after help from many guys on here I finally got some seat time on the ole girl Brush hogging.Rebuilt the carb. and several other things.Thanks to all you guys for your help!!!!

Congrats! With some luck.....I might get some seat time this week.

I cleaned mine up, drained front and rear oil, cleaned out the cases to the best degree possible, tuned her up, replaced the hydraulic cylinder and piston, filled the oil again......and then discovered while the lift works wonderfully well at raising the mower, it won't stay up unless the PTO is running. Who knew?? :roll: Sigh..... drained the oil, removed the PTO......and found a heck of a lot of sludge in the rear gear case, nasty stuff...like vomit....cleaned all that up, dropped the pump, replaced the valve, and now cleaning up the residual crud in and around the pump and am about to reinstall it.

Hopefully I'll get it down to the property this weekend and get my own seat time. I can hardly wait.
