Once you winch the bale up over the rear axle it should roll fairly easy.

Farmall F-12? This one doesn't have a hand crank start to rearrange your thumb if you forget to retard the spark on the magneto.

There are videos on YouTube of people doing that to Farmall and Allis Chalmers tractors.
They are using the Predator engines from Harbor Freight.

F-20. The F-4 mag could bite you, but has nothing
to do with the spark advance. Culprit is a
maintenance-deferred magneto.
