Probably a mid early 1955 model, if that is what you were asking.

first sn for 55 was 10615, last was 77270, meaning about 67000 tractros were made that year.. yours is 5000 or so into that run. Not that production was linear, but if you average / guess that 5500 were made a month, you might think your tractor was a late january or feburary tractor.. at least 1st quarter anyway probably. Again.. not knowing production trends.. just doing a guess based on linear estimate.
 
i know the diamond symbols on each end of the number signifies the cylinders are cast iron. There are other interpretations which signify type of tractor. I do not know the rest of the decoding.
 
The diamonds on either side of the serial number signify nothing other than the start and end of the serial number.

Is the 850 model number stamped above the serial number? If so then it is a 1955 850. If you just think it is an 850 or were told that it is an 850 with no other proof that it is an 850, then it could be any of a number of different models, and if it is not a hundred series tractor it would be from a different year as well.

50 is above the serial number and sheaf of sheet is on the chrome disc on the front.
 
Does it say 800 above the sheaf of wheat? If not, the badge could have been changed at some point to one from an '01 series.
