serial number location

I have an old case, sc I think. Where can I find the serial number and will it tell me the year. Thanks from Jim in Okla

If the serial number tag is missing from the dash, you can also find the serial number stamped on the engine flange. Look on the side of the flange where it bolts to the bell housing. I think the serial number stamping is on the left side. Subtract 4 from the first 2 digits to get the year unless your tractor was built during the last few years of production.
