serial number

got a 9n today best I can tell serial number on left side of block is 174269 any idea what year it is ?

Looks like you have a 1945-2N,looks like a 9N only newer.

I will check again but it looked like it had 9n before number

all 9n and 2n sn's are preceded by 9n

no mystery there...

As Sound said all 9N and 2N serial numbers start with 9N. That did not change till the 8N came out and there numbers start with 8N

It is a 2N..Mine is newer at 9N 173xxx..1945

I think you will like the N

just as easy to work on. probably a lil better parts support.
