Shallow well pump leaking

I have a 1/2 hp shallow well pump in my
house. It started dripping a couple weeks
ago. I tried to replace the large rubber
casing seal by removing the four flange
bolts but the pump casing only moved
slightly away from the motor flange. See
pic. Pried on it with a screwdriver and it
just won't seperate.
Any suggestions?

I just did a Wayne pump just like that.
It is the backup pump for my shallow well.
Ordered a seal kit from Amazon.
I thought I never would get the pump separated.
Kept on prying and bumping and it finally came apart.
Works good now.

I just remembered something.
When taking the impeller off he pump, you have to hold it and unscrew the motor shaft by taking off the bearing cover on the other end of the motor.
The shaft has a slot in it and I think I used a wood chisel and a wrench to turn the shaft.
Here is a diagram of the pump.

Tried it again and it won't come apart.
I'll have to replace it. ARGH!
Oh well - it IS 14 years old.
Thanks for the drwg too.
