sherman transmission

Is the sherman transmission for the fords, the same one that fits in a wc allis? If so, does anyone know where to find a step down or combo sherman?

I have never seen a WC AC with anything but the single 4 speed transmission.

Though there is plenty of room between the original WC truck transmission and the differential to mount an auxiliary, the Sherman transmission is not designed for the torque that could be transmitted aft of the main transmission.

However, due to the design of the WC, it would be relatively easy to install an auxiliary truck transmission in place of the WC traction disconnect.

No, and no. VERY rare 'planetary' gearset and not at all worth pursuing. IF you manage to find one, I'll wager you'll have to invest more into it than it's usefulness/cost will end up being worth.
