Yes most likely a step up. If the tractor is running the position the handle is in now the photo would be the sherman gears, either step up or step down. Depress clutch and move handle forward. If the tractor slows down your sherman is a step up. if your tractor speeds up your sherman is a step down. In a non running tractor go to my video link which show how to determine what you have.
