I see that you recently pulled a Kuhn GMD66HD cutter apart. I have to replace bearings in a Kuhn GMD77HD disc mower. Just curious what all was involed, how hard are the bearings and seals to replace. Did you use Kuhn parts are did you find some type of after market parts. I hear that those bearings are $50 or more a piece.

Marv, My Kuhn is a GMD-66, not a 66HD, and I did not have to get into the innards of the cutter bar / gear bed! the bearing that failed on mine was right under the disc! As for the bearing, I had a couple spares on hand that came with the mower when I bought it. Sorry I can't be more help.
