Well, actually loading bundles. The oats crop started out nice and had moisture to grow tall. That same moisture laid it over and even with crop lifters was a twisted mess as you can see in the foreground. We tried an alternate means of loading out.

Those are bundles? Yikes! Only so much you can do in rank conditions.

The Rust isn’t so bad.
The ironic part is I swathed oats on this same ground 42 years ago with a 12’ Hesston. This ground is light and the neighbor put chicken manure on. It grew gang busters and then laid down. Dad made lifters to slide over the guards and it made a huge difference. That year it was rusty.
