sickle mower

Yes, No or Maybe With as little info as you gave no one can give you any better answer since we have no clue to what sickle mower you have and there is probably a good 1500 different models of them, starting back in the late 1800s up till today

As Old said we have to know what you have to answer the question. BUT!
Most "SICKLE MOWER" can be sharpened.
Let me discuss this a little.
First the mower is made up of the following pieces.
The knife is the part that is driven. It has sections ribbited or bolted onto it. The head is where it is driven from.
The guards are what the knife is driven through. Each guard has a ledger plate which is where the cutting takes place.
You also have hold-down clips to keep the knife in position.

All of the above parts must be in working order and adjusted correctly in order for the mower to operate correctly. I like to compare this to a pair of scissors. For instance if the hold down clips are not "Holding", the knife will not cut cleanly and will get fines between the sections and the ledger plates. Just like a pair of scissors when they get loose.

Also if the sections are worn you can replace them. Just buy some sections, ribbits, and use a hammer!
Ask if you want more info.
