Sickle sections for combines

I have a 1966 660 and need to replace the knife. It's got the sections under the knife bar and it held together with flat head rivets. Does anybody else make sections for these? All of mine are totally shot and I've got 35 acres to go!

I think you will find generic ones will work just fine. Take an old one with you to any decent farm supply store to make sure the holes are the same.

I know nothing about the combine but I will suggest when getting new sections if you don't already have them is to see if bolts will work to attach the knives to the bar instead of rivets. It will be much easier to change them later.

Don't remember the number of the sections, but should be able to match up like previous poster said. I remember replacing them on the 1160 to
cut flax, and on the 1660s. Need good sections to cut wheat if it has small pigeon grass in it. Keep plenty of grease on a 1660 bell crank as
I have had to replace it from lack of grease from previous owner.

Funny you mention that Steve as the bell crank bearing is shot too! This wheat is a tangled heavy mess and this knife to too crappy to cut it. You'll hear the knife start hammering and then it throws the belt.

Don't think that will work in a 660 combine. Does look the same as one I have for a A-6 combine but mine is shorter of course.

I got the rivets from sickle servis
They didn't have the sections
I finnaly got enough to do mine from IH
Dealers throughout the Midwest
I can get the number if you need me to
Local farm stores don't have anything that will match
The ones you need
Let me know if you need that number
