Side Cover Copper Washers

Getting ready to put the side cover on my M and noticed the copper washers on the bolts are pretty rough shape. Looks like they have been taken off and on a number of times. Any idea where to get new ones?

Also is the head gasket on an M the same as one on a Super M with over bore? I originally thought I had a 248ci engine turns out I have a 281ci and want to know if I can use the original head gasket I bought. Thanks

Pennies are not copper unless you have a really old one. They have been zinc with a copper coating for a long time.

I was just going to say this.

I went to a local fastener store and found something that'll work better than copper washers. They are stainless bellville washers with an o ring type rubber material on the back side. Shouldn't be a drop of oil getting past these babies.
