sidedress fertilizer injection

I have an old cultivator toolbar that I am going to convert over to a liquid fertilizer sidedress toolbar applicator.
Which coulter injection units are best?
FAST in Gilman,IL recommends this Clymer type?
It is a knife, but it also comes with an injection knozzle.
Smooth or wavy coulter?
I plan on using it for conventional till, no-till, & strip-till applications so residue will be an issue.
Are there better units or ways to accomplish it?

I tried a Yetter knife several years ago. Bean stubble would wedge between the knife and blade. Then it made a furrow instead of a slot. I resolved the problem by using straight stream nozzles attached to heavy coil tines from a plow harrow. I have since replaced those with Yetter nozzle holders that they came out with a few years later than the ones I made for myself. They are trouble free now, no globs of dirt to contend with. You need to select nozzles for the rate you are using that will give you less that 10PSI or you will get splatter. You only need enough pressure to get the fertilizer covered in the soil a most all of the plant roots are in the top 2 inches of the soil.I run my coulters 4" deep,2-1/2" to the side of the seed when planting corn. The nozzles run about 1" deep behind the coulter and places the fertilizer over about 2-3" deep. Its not concentrated that way and is less likely to burn back corn roots.I use 2 coulters which gives me a 7" wide strip till efffect by using 1" wavy coulters set 5" apart.
