That's a good one, the old barn looks to be fairly straight too. Both are a great testament to the craftsman of the day.

For many years down the road from me was a similar sized silo. The interior could be seen from the road since the side door was open. The contents were caked in the thing, totally useless.....almost! A couple of years ago a crew came and dismantled the thing leaving a tower of compost. Then the contents disappeared....bet one of the nurseries in the area, which are getting very popular with all the new residents moving here, scooped them up for plant food.

Nice picture, There's something about a well taken care of farm that say's 'Things are tough but it's going to be alright' Sad when family farms, many of which are multi generational succumb to the economy or lack of interest by the up and coming to continue the business. It happens and once they disappear they aren't coming back...generally speaking.

Is that not normal? If not, that's something I never noticed. We didn't have a silo, we had granaries.
