Tucked right on the flats on the edge of town.
Parts of the land are being consumed by development. Good family and always well kept.

Yup. I saw my share silos when I went to college in New York State. Always liked the silos.

I thought of silo for Saturday last week while driving in northern Illinois. There was a conventional wood barn, but the tile silo was only half as tall as the barn! The short silo had a cap on it, so it wasn’t as if some had been removed. They must have had just a few cows.

Beautiful barn with my favorite kind of roof.

Yep, I agree; a gambrel roof made for a great loft. A neighbor had such a barn and when the loft was nearly empty it made a good basketball court for all the neighborhood kids, yes some girls played too. Those were the carefree days of youth.
Come haying the same group of boys would put up hay into the loft, the owner had hay forks and pulled the load up with a horse for us boys to pitch to the back, he usually put up loose hay.
