The clay silo with the red barns is impressive, but hidden behind trees.

First picture hard for me to look at. The barn is in a with struggle with mother nature to stay standing. I hate to see these barns fall into disrepair.

Don't think I have ever seen a silo shorter than the barn before. Neat old barn... tho' she isn't likely to last.

The red barn and clay tile silo are beautiful!!

Thought of you this morning, while I was headed to get Purina concentrate for the calf feed.
This was a good dairy and cal feed yard . South of Appleton City MO.

When I moved here a neighbor had a silo the about the size of the first 2 pictures. The side door was open and you could see material inside. Have no idea as to its history, but the material was caked and dark brown indicating that it was old. Some years later someone came and removed the metal leaving a stack of "compost". Some goats were in the field with the remnants and they had a great time eating and playing in the decayed pile.

I've seen a couple Harvest-stores short like that (maybe used for grain for feed???) but not a concrete stave unit.
