Beautiful fall setting!

[Stroby]

Super, keep them coming.

Often wondered how much snow ended up on top of the silage. Looking through old aerial pictures you see quite a few older silos in the northern states that are open top.

Feeding daily out of the old wooden silo it was what ever the snow fall for the day was.
If a lot we shoveled it out and crawled down to clear it before throwing down silage.

Tools in a non unloader silo in winter months were a silage fork, pick axe, we had an electric silage chipper, and a scoop shovel.

I've often wondered about that. With the kind of rain we can get here, it seems like it would be a disaster.
