silver king

I have just bought a silver king tractor.It doesn"t have a tag on it.I was wondering if there is any way of telling what year and model it might be.It"s a very small tractor with the rear tires being 9 x 24.Can anybody help?

Yes we can help.Changes were made to the tractors at differant times and a date can be narrowed down. If you have the oridinal engine there is a casting on the block just above the oil pan on the right side post those numbers and letters and a picture or two.A small tractor with a herk engine would be before mid 1940.

thanks for the reply. the engine is being rebuilt.when it comes back i will look for the casting number
