My 1st landlord I used for mowing is giving me trouble, so went with second landlord but PTO when engaged, the idler pulley won't line up with pulley(as per picture). I took pictures, but hard to see everything. Any ideas how to fix? Also, when engaged, both pulleys hit each other and sparks fly.

Hi RKH,

It looks like the pivot point of the idler pulley may be a little worn, loose, or bent, putting the idler pulley slightly off center. May want to look at that point and see if you can tighten up the slop, straighten etc.

Regarding your pulleys hitting and causing sparks from contact. You may want to get a slightly smaller belt, so the pulley makes tension sooner and keeps the pulleys from contacting.

Good luck in your repair, and thank you for saving the tractors!
