Single bottom snap or pin hitch plow?

Did they ever make a single bottom 16" snap coupler or pin hitch plow? I have seen single bottom mounted plows on B/C"s but never any for a CA? I would like to purchase one if possible and replace the bottom with a kerveland. I know that the CA can pull 2-14's but the bottoms are really expensive and I really don't want to mess around with wheel weights and ballasted tires for the small acreage that I am doing.

Can you drop a bottom from a 2 bottom plow like you can from a 3 bottom plow?
