Size and length of starter solonoid bolts

I was wondering what size and length of bolts you use to keep the starter solenoid In place as my ted-20 has not one to keep the water out and keep it in place.
If anyone could shed a light on them I would greatly appreciate it

Long enough so that when tight, there is one thread of bolt tip sticking out beyond the nut.
