Need to get a disk that will be a good match for the 4490. Will be used in wide range of soils, but no super deep, mostly for lightly working cornstalks in fall , and incorperating chicken litter. I was thinking a 26-28 foot. I dont buy new equipment so its older $3000-$7000 disk"s.

I've got a healthy 2470 that pulls a 30' flat fold Kewanne and 7 section flexible drag. Run in 3-2. Has 22" blades. Does a good job.

We bought our 27ft sunflower disk from a guy that was pulling it with a 4490. I don't know how deep he was pulling it, but it was his main tillage tool. We have mainly wheat ground on silt loam soils with some heavy clay in the bottoms.

I would second the Kewanee, looks like the one pictured is a 1030, I have a 1025 (25') and I pulled it for years with a 1466 international, but now use an 800 versatile. Easy pulling disk that does a real nice job. I think mine is a 1984 model, I bought it back in 99 for $3500. Seen a real nice 30' one sell for $4000 at an auction a few years ago. It was designed as a finishing disk, but I have used it on hard stubble ground and have not had any frame issues, but have replaced some bearings over the years.

Another good disk is a wilrich 6600. My dad has a 35' and it also does a real nice job and is also considered a finishing disc but handles stubble well and pulls easy for its size (35').
