Exactly what is over size about the sleeves - ID, OD, length - all of the above? Typically something like that is a custom rebuild done by a machine shop and matching it with a "drop in" replacement is going to be problematic. Most likely you will be needing the services of an automotive machine shop - perhaps to simply rebore the block to accept a standard OEM type .090 sleeve....

I had the same problem with my 8N. It has the thick sleeves. I had a machine shop to replace them while they were doing the other work to it. The guy told me the block bore was slightly over size and that he had to order over size sleeves for it. I didn't know they made an over size sleeve. But aparentally they do. I'm afraid I didn't ask how much over he was talking about. If no one here can tell you were to find them I'm sure he would tell you. He was a real friendly guy to work with. Maybe some one here will know but if not call: A1 Machine Shop, Springfield, MO, at (417) 869-2364.

All 8ns have sleeves in them. some are thick and some are thin. The old Hokie makes and sells a mighty fine removal and installation tool set. This site sells the sleeve kit. If yours are oversize from stock sleeves, then I would visit a local engine machine shop!

This site sells .005 oversize for the .040 and the .090 sleeves. If your block bore isn't more than .005 over, you can use those. That may be what was/is in it now.
