Sling Chain

G80 chain is totally acceptable for transportation. Yours would have a WLL of about 4500 lbs.

The only concern I would have is how do you plan on hooking it up.
If you hook the eye to the tractor and the end of the chain to the trailer you need to compensate for chain length.
Slings usually have very short chain and chain rating is based on pulling at a 90 degree angle to the load. The more you have to swing the chain to reach the side of the trailer the more you reduce the capacity of the chain. A chain at a 30 degree angle to the tractor will be reduced by half.

Look at it this way.
A chain that hooks to the center of the tractor and is so short it rubs the tires will hold great side to side but very little front to back.
A long chain will hold great front to back but little side to side.
A normal length of chain allows you to hit that sweet spot of 45 degree angle.
