Smokes under load

I used noticed my 8N was smoking a litte when under a load from the breather cap, is this something to be overly concerned about or normal for a older tractor.
The tractor holds about 10 to 15 lbs of oil pressure when hot, other wise runs like a charm with plenty of power. I have been running 30 wt oil, should I move to a thicker oil? Thanks

Scott,Smoke coming from the breather cap is from compression going past the piston rings.Worn engine parts. The rings could be stuck or from the sleeves and rings worn. The oil pressure would be helped if 20w50 was used and it may also help your blow by problem also.Change your oil and filter, its worth a try.
