snake tracks

[Southern Ray]

I was walking the back this morning and came upon these snake tracks.
They appears fresh and judging from the impressions in the sand it was moving way from the yard toward the back pasture.
At first I thought it was a sidewinder, but we don't have sidewinders here.
My 13.6 X 38 tractor tire track is next to it and you can judge the width.
The right side appears to be the head end and the left side the main body.
The width is consistent the entire distance from the place I pick up the trail to the place I loose it.
I looked on the internet for the many snakes we have down here and none of the tracks match.
Anyone recognize them.

I see some sort of footprints that go right along with the trail.

I don't know what state you live in. We might be able to tell which kind of turtle it was.

there are opossum and bird tracks in the vicinity but not consistent with the track.

Perfectly parallel makes me think about bucket or something blew through there. That or something hanging off the tractor.

Okay, I see you live on the Southern tip of Texas. These might be box turtle tracks, but I am not familiar with all types.

If you live in Texas, I don't believe it was a snow snake.

I understand about the "no footprints" but they look very similar to these gator tracks...

A lost 'sea turtle' maybe.

I don't see any central drag marks. Box turtles and tortoises can walk with their shell off the ground.

Maybe prankster kids. My childhood buddy and I made strange tracks where people would find and try to identify them. 24" barefoot human was our favorite because some folks would swear they saw the man that made them.
