Snapper snow blower?

No such sticker on my unit
At this point I image that we are beating a dead horse. Here in Indiana it's too cold to be out unless there is snow to blow (and there isn't any.)

Just killing time and searching for more information on Snapper model and serial number, I found this post on a Snapper forum back in 2011.

Snapper Model 28114S with 12.5 HP?
I just picked up a rear engine Snapper Model 28114S today. The model number 28114S states this is supposed to be a 28" deck (28XXXX), with an 11 HP motor (XX11XS), 4 series (XXXX4X), with electric start (XXXXXS). If the model number states this has a 11 HP engine then why do....

This was obviously for a rear engine riding mower, but it suggested that you have a model 1030 series 0 with electric start (XXXXXS). Looking a model numbers in the various series, it doesn't appear that a suffix E was used to identify electric start models until series 3.

Looking for images of old Snapper snowblowers similar to yours, I found:

This is an auction house ad with many larger than "normal" pictures. It also lists and shows the engine model and serial number. The model number shown is HM100 (spec?) 159076G (Serial?) 2183D. From what I can find, the last five digits show the engine was made on the 183rd day of a year ending in 2 (1972, 1982,1992, etc.) You can find many parts lists for HM100 159076G engines. They are snowblower engines with breaker point ignition. Someone more familiar with earlier Tecumseh engines might provide more information.

My dad was a Snapper dealer till 2001. I have all his inventory of parts, mowers, and blowers. I have a used 1993 and a NOS 1994 blower dad never sold.

Here's some pix of what I have
hey don I googled to try and find out how old my snapper snowblower and it came to this forum. I have the same old model 10300s. my serial # begins with a 4. so im thinking mine is 1984. mine has points and condensor also. I saw a parts flyer sold on ebay with our model dated January 83. l would think yours is made 1873
